Ruby Wednesday Happy Birthday, Sagen! (sagen)So, my first entry of 2003. I'm glad this diary provides the date by itself (ah, the wonders of modern technology) because I know I'll be writing 2002 for at least two months. I know you're just aching to know what I've been doing over the holidays, right? I mean, the last you heard of me, I was fending off rednecks in a smoke-filled bowling alley in the middle of the night. What has become of me? Absolutely nothing, that's what. I got some cool stuff for Christmas--and my parents got something that they're sharing with me right now, whether they realize it or not, *cough*RollingStonesCD*cough.* I went to my grandparents' on Christmas Eve, as usual. Avoided my second cousin Sam, the one that looks like a Beatnik-- because any prolonged conversation with him inevitably leads to a full-fledged lecture about the ONLY way to brew good coffee in his one-of-a-kind German brewing contraption and the amazing exhibit of nude art and statues he saw last month--as usual. A hoard of relatives came over on Christmas, and I won't bore you with the details, except WHY does my cousin Luke have to be related to me, because he looks like a freaking Abercrombie model. But we're related. By blood. So I'll shut up now. I went bowling with Sagen and spent the night for her birthday, which was fun. I suck at bowling, but that's the fun part. She came to my house the next day, and we had a five-way phone conversation with Indy, her sister Carly, my sister Laura, Sagen, and me, about hot Legolas action, Fight Club, and telling Laura to stop holding the phone up to The County Bears. Then we ate pizza, watched Lord of the Rings, and promptly fell into comas. New Years Eve was beyond subdued, as the loudest noise in the whole house when the ball dropped was a pathetic "Wooooo" from me. We had sparkling apple juice and Bagel Bites, though! And I had a sip of champagne like I always do, and had trouble not spitting it out, like I always do. That was my holiday. Fun stuff, huh? Possibly my most boring entry to date, but I can't think of anything else to write about. Now, back to my parents' CD. "Gooooodbye Ruby Tuesday, who could hang a name on you, when you change with every new day, still I'm gonna miss you..."
