Punk Look! A fortune cookie!I'm punk now. More goth, actually. Kinda. Not really. Amanda and sagen walked home from school with me today after finals. We hung out for a while, terrorized my bird, ordered a pizza and laughed at the Domino's lady with the speech impediment. "Wow! Thanks for calling Dominos!" Who starts a message like that with "wow?" Then--I can't remember how this started--we were inspired to show our inner stereotype-punk/goth/freak selves. Now I remember. Or, um, Sagen reminded me. SHE started it. She's still here, you see. Hi, Sagen! She's singing Kryptonite. Anyway. I made my hair Princess-Leia-y and put on some black lipstick and eyeliner, Amanda was all punk/dork/freak with pens and feathers and Care Bears, and Sagen was and is still punk, with my thug pants and a tie and stuff. It's fun to play dress-up, although I think we're way too dorky to be "punks." Then we walked up the street, sat on the drug-dealer-house's curb, and waved to the garbage man. We met my sister at the bus stop. She beat me up with her bookbag. But that's ok! Also, I threw an apple at Amanda, I ran and locked myself in the bathroom, she threw the apple at me, and now we're cool. We threw lots of fruit today, actually. We took turns throwing a frozen, brown banana at a tree until Sagen hit a window and the banana broke in half. Don't ask. Question of the day: Who actually buys those bluegrass Christmas compilation CDs in grocery stores? OH, I forgot! We made up 2 new words and one new phrase! 1. fruik--A mix of fruit and freak. Pronounced "frook." Origin: My mispronounciation of the word "fruit." 2. Abashikah--Kinda like "Well fine, then." You have to say it fast and sound annoyed. Origin: Sagen's had this one for a while, but today we spelled it out for the first time. 3. "Table-lickin' good"--Like finger-lickin' but even better. Origin: Amanda and I were talking about getting poisoning from the wood finish on a table...better just not to try to explain that one. 2002-12-20 @ 4:00 p.m. |
